I don’t know anything about Ignite, but we (my wife and I ) were Amway distributors for a number of years. We worked our buns off and made a little money, but spent it all on gas, functions, books, tapes and other training types of things. We learned some very useful things in contacting people and evaluating businesses.
I wouldn’t want to ever repeat that experience, but we made some lifelong friends through it. MLM requires massive recruiting in order to be successful. That means you talk to everyone you meet, pass out your cards all the time and you will have opportunities to show people your business.
I am personally totally burned out on MLM and would never again join a similar group. We still use many of the products from Amway but put zero effort into recruiting.
I didn’t intend to discourage you, but have the courage to see if it is working for you and if not, then disengage from it and find something in which you can make money. For us we went into real estate and made more money in 6 months than we had in 6 years of MLM.
I would not buy leads. It will only add to your frustration. You are not alone when it comes to issues with warm market tactics. The only way that warm market (my opinion) works for the few is by getting into other peoples warm markets. I find that it is far better to get people to contact you rather than waste time hunting everyone with a pulse. If you are excited about Ignite I would suggest that you try leading with the product/service. It would be insane for me to try to pull you into my business opportunity and lead you with false promises. You can attract your own leads online by blogging, lenses, website building and participating in social networking/forums. Where ever you go I would strongly suggest that you do not lead with the opportunity until you are successful. If someone seeks a business opportunity then that is a good time to share yours. Confronting someone that you do not know and leading with the opportunity creates a lot of wasted time and produces small results.
This is the usual story in any mlm business. You have to take chances and have lot of patience. It is a good idea to start your own website to attract targeted visitors. This will be cheaper than traditional advertising.
It is also important for you to be passionate about your business. Make sure it is genuine and trustworthy. If you believe in it you get the motivation to promote it. Many people try to promote a program without understanding it. Such people will never succeed.
First of all, does Ignite not offer weekly training and mentoring? Do they have calls and webinars for you to join to learn to do things exactly like others are doing? If that is not in place, you will struggle.
Nearly all MLM companies nowadays have a tried and true system in place for you to follow such as a 90 day action plan, etc.
I have a few home businesses and the reason I chose them was because of the comp plan, because they had all the tools in place…including….FREE leads. That was a big one for me because these people have been screened and/or interviewed and expressed an interest in my type of products.
You could purchase leads, but are they targeted to your product?
The other thing you need to have in place is your own Belief in your product. I find that when I am so pumped about my product and it’s benefits, I get so excited in my presentation that people can’t help but get excited too! I’m very clear on how it can help them and as a result, they become either customers or representatives.
You have hit the nail on the head. Until you know how to draw prospects to you you are not in business. And when you DO KNOW you can build any MLM you choose.
So first of all learn how its done.
If you’d like to learn how to attract pre-qualified leads to you’re IGNITE Business rather than chasing people down like everybody had to do in the bad old mlm days, I recommend you check out the break-through new ebook from

I don’t know what type of business you run, but I have found good results and you get replacement on bad leads with wrong or disconnected numbers.
They have different types of leads for reasonable prices.
